Benjamin P. Mustian

Hailing from Greenville, South Carolina, Ben began his legal career at the South Carolina House of Representatives where he served as Chief Counsel to the House Judiciary Committee, and staff counsel to the House Ethics Committee. During his tenure there, Ben was involved in a variety of legislative matters and issues pertaining to the South Carolina Ethics Act. Ben also worked for the South Carolina Office of Regulatory Staff, where he represented the agency in ratemaking and regulatory matters pertaining to gas, electric, telecommunications, water, wastewater, and common carrier companies. Since joining Willoughby & Hoefer in 2006, Ben has focused his practice on representing utilities, health care providers, and other clients before administrative agencies and courts.  Additionally, he is a state certified circuit court mediator.  Ben also assists clients with legislative redistricting, election law, governmental ethics, and campaign finance matters.
