A Sumter, South Carolina native, Michael earned his bachelor's degree from the College of Charleston and his law degree from the University of South Carolina.

Prior to joining Willoughby & Hoefer, Michael worked for three years as a legislative aide in Washington, D.C., and spent two years in D.C. working on complex antitrust litigation matters.

Michael is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts of South Carolina.
